Cuty Mask Melon [Scanner]

Cuty Mask melon was a scanner back in the day before digital photography. Photobook pages were individually replicated with scanning machines and then cleaned up using Photoshop. The scanning process was arduous, a real labour of love. Bluebird, Kuni, Enya, Pure Japan carved major in-roads introducing the Internet world to Japanese idols. Cuty Mask melon was a prolific Scanner of late 1990′s early 2000. I know little about him, other than the rather large collection of images I have from him. Unlike other scanners it appears Cuty Mask melon was not too concerned about scanning complete photobooks…rather his model scans are more eclectic, coming from many sources. I honestly don’t know if he actually scanned from books or cleaned up other scanners work. All I know is his work was of very high quality for the time.

I don’t have the entire CMM collection, but I wanted to share what I have…please add any images or information on Cuty Mask melon to this thread.

I lament these hardworking Scanners of old are getting lost to time
