That shot is “unfortunate” because it suggests that her butt has poor definition. Her left thigh and left butt cheek look to be on the same plane. Smellykev correctly points out that pic 14 clearly shows she has a curvy butt. In pic 10, she is kneeling but is also arching her back. The tutu she’s wearing hides the fact that she’s leaning forward while arching her back. The effect is to present her as having no waist. The fact that the tutu is also slightly out of focus while her upper half of her body and face are in focus add to the effect – the viewer is drawn to the parts of the image that are in focus. But the pose places her naked ass closest to the lens (since she’s leaning forward) and her ass, plus her thighs look out of proportion to the rest of her body. Had she been naked, and with the right lighting, one could imagine the shot would have worked better as you would have seen she indeed did have a correctly proportioned body, and a better shaped ass than the shot suggests. I don’t know what lens the photographer used, but the photographer needs to be careful when working with a particular focal length, that parts of the image are not “distorted” in an unflattering way. As Doc knows and appreciates, a 50mm lens produces images the way our eyes see things naturally. Focal lengths of around 70mm to 100mm are often selected for portraiture because of the pleasing effect it has for models’ faces. But shooting a model from behind where she is bending forward is quite different from a head and shoulders shot shot face-on in terms of depth of field if the intent is to get most if not all the model in focus.

I think there are several technical flaws in pic 10 which do no favours for the model. But, if as the viewer, you like what you see, then that is certainly more important than any perceived flaws I see. For all I know, the end result achieved exactly the effect the photographer and model were looking for. As the ol’ saying goes, it lies very much in the eyes of the beholder.

Touché! Or maybe that should be spelt “tush-é”

“I have a perfect arse” certainly suggests that Hailan doesn’t mind “hanging it out there” so to speak. If we dismiss the tutu pic and the last pic as not fairly representing the true merits of her derrière, then we really only have pic 14 to make a proper assessment and whether a claim for perfection is fully justified. That’s a whole other discussion! However I do believe the lady is fully entitled to judge her assets however she sees fit.
