Travis Stroup, the man who has been bringing beautiful women to your screens for the last few years, has a file of some seven hundred Asian Sirens awaiting their moment in the sun. That is enough to cover the next 2.23 years, and the list is ever growing. In a bid to help sort through the Stroup Files I have been lucky enough to get a glimpse (thanks big fella!) and with his blessing, will be bringing some to you for your enjoyment…

With professional baseball everywhere approaching the playoffs, here’s a look at some recent (and viral) first pitches thrown by some lovely ladies chosen to do the honors at MLB (United States), KBO (Korea), and NBO (Japan) games.

Above is actress and taekwondo black belt-holder, Tae Mi, showing off her skills at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium last month, in what appears to be an attempt to top rhythmic gymnist Shin Soo-ji’s first pitch she threw there a few weeks earlier.

Korean singer and actress Uee shows some retro dance moves in this recent commercial for Chum-Churum Cool soju. The 25 year-old siren is best known as a member of the girl group After School, but may be the next member of the group to “graduate” as she already has a solo single and a couple of acting awards under her belt. She’s currently a cast member of the SBS variety show Running Man and reality show Barefooted Friends.

For those interested; at around the 30-second mark, she says “Don’t you know the Cool Shot dance?” and the song she’s dancing to is “Chick Habit” by April March.

A familiar face on a recent commercial that aired on American television during the CBS evening News, caused me to do a double-take. The face was that of former Miss Korea Honey Lee, who’s featured in the above Korean-produced commercial for the laxative Dulcolax, that’s currently airing on network TV in the United States.

Reportedly, the commercial has been airing in Korea since February and Dulcolax made the decision to start airing it in the US, after a consumer survey yielded positive feedback, which isn’t hard to see why. Since her pageant days, the 2006 Miss Korea and 2007 Miss Universe third runner-up, has established herself as fairly prominent TV, stage, and screen actress in Korea. Here name in Korean is 이하늬 and Google is our friend.

I’m sure that Shin Soo-Ji has now come to the attention of millions of people around the world including mine after a video of her went viral where she threw out the first pitch in a baseball game between the Doosan Bears and the Samsung Lions on Friday, July 5th utilizing the most amazing wind up in the history of ceremonial first pitches.

What’s equally impressive is that the former rhythmic gymnast was also able to get the pitch to reach the plate. I can only imagine what the reaction would have been if a more disastrous result would have occurred after performing such a wind up.

Thankfully, everything worked out and Shin Soo-Ji’s pitch made for an incredible video as well as provide me with an opportunity to write about a sexy gymnast.

I have a fair amount of Asian pop inflicted upon me, as I’m sure do many of you (mostly Thai in my case, courtesy of my spouse). Most of it is pretty hard to endure, which is why I was pleasantly surprised when I came across IU, aka Lee Ji-eun (이지은).

IU is a Korean singer. I first saw her in a photo which captured my attention, but it was when I heard her cover Loving You that I was inspired to create this entry.

First off; she’s still alive and well, but it’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 11 years since Shim Mina (featured at the old site here) was discovered while showing her support for her national soccer team during the 2002 World Cup. After being dubbed by the Korean media as “Miss World Cup” and gracing the covers of all the major sports newspaper in the country, Mina shortly thereafter released her debut album and quickly became a K-pop sensation.

Most Korean female vocal groups work with choreographers to develop dance routines they perform to their songs that they’ve recorded in the studio. However, it’s no secret that when on stage, they usually lip-sync so they can focus more on the dancing. Well, Waveya is one girl group who can’t be accused of lip-syncing to their songs, because they’re not a singing group, they’re a dance team who perform their routines to mainly (but not strictly) current popular K-pop songs. Some of those performances have been before students at colleges and even high schools, sparking a little controversy due to the girl’s provocative dance moves.

Above are the ladies doing their thing to HyunA’s “Bubble Pop” and “Change.” They are (from left to right in the above still); Hyang, Miu, Ari (leader and choreographer), Doori, and Yuna. Occasional sixth member Yuji isn’t part of this one. See more from them at their Youtube channel and Facebook fan page.

Ji Kim comes to my attention through one of our readers who saw her photos floating around Tumblr and was looking to identify her. Unfortunately, I was unable to find out much about Ji Kim, but that shouldn’t prevent us from admiring her, especially with how incredibly sexy she is.

Also, if you happen to know of a hot Asian female that you need help in identifying, then make sure you post in the Request ID section so that one of our readers or someone from the staff can assist you. It works!
