Some models appear to have been coerced into the adult industry, while others appear to be having an absolute ball (pardon the pun). Tai Lee Liam definitely fits in the second category.
Earlier this month, Thai publishing company Muangthai Book released a public school math textbook featuring a shot of JAV Idol Mana Aoki as their “cover girl.” The photo is originally from the promo shoot for Costume Play Working Girl, in which Miss Aoki (naturally) stars as the costume play working girl. The authors’ names on the above image of the cover, that’s been floating around the net to accompany this story, have been blurred out to protect the embarrassed.
Of course, Muangthai Book didn’t know who Miss Aoki was when her photo was found on the net and selected by one of their employees, but when they found out, they stopped publication of the book until a new cover is chosen. As for the reported 3,000 copies that had been released, it’s a good bet that they’re already collectors’ items, so some astute math students and teachers will probably hang on to theirs, despite a recall.
This has been all over the net for a couple of weeks now, so for more details, a simple Google search will take you to many other articles covering this, such as this one at Rocket News 24.
Even though she’s seemed to have disappeared from the public eye over a decade ago and now resides in the “Whatever Happened to..” file (as this post at the old site covers), 90s V-Cinema queen Chieko Shiratori is still well-known and remembered by fans of the genre.
Above is a then-23-year-old Cheiko as Detective Mika Hino working up a sweat in 1998′s Tokyo Blue: Case 1, which was the first of the three “Metropolitan Police Branch 82″ films. Also in 1998, which seems to have been her banner year, Miss Shiratori was the 7th of the 10 actresses (covered here at the old site) to step into the role of Special Undercover Agent Rei in Zero Woman: Dangerous Game.

The above scene from the 1998 black comedy Very Bad Things features a then-26-year old Kobe Tai as exotic dancer Tina, providing the entertainment for a group of five horny men (led by Christian Slater in one of his best performances) at a bachelor party in their Las Vegas hotel room. When one of the group decides to take Tina for a private “ride” in the bathroom and gets a little overzealous and inadvertently makes her a wall decoration, that’s the beginning of the very bad things that happen for the quintet. Although the above scene is the only one that features Kobe, this movie is definitely one worth seeing, especially if dark humor is your thing.

Here’s a then-26-year-old Mimi Miyagi interviewing a then-22-year-old Mika Tan during a break from shooting Fantasiany 3 in late 1999. You have to take what most porn stars say about their past with a grain of salt, but going from most of the info on Mika from fairly credible sources, what she says here about her pre-porn days and induction into porn, is truthful.

The above video uploaded last month by artist David Choe to DVDASA‘s Vidme channel, features porn star Asa Akira singing a contemporary Christian song with a trio of guys that will probably cause the casual viewer to wonder about the whos, wheres, and whys, despite being treated to a nice, long view of Asa’s remarkably firm twin peaks.
For those of you who may be interested in some backstory to this video; according to a seemingly-informed commenter who goes by “saadbabu” in the Reddit thread that Choe began with a link to this video, it was shot at a “mystery ranch” somewhere in Big Bear, California some time within the last four to five months. The guys featured with Asa in the video are (left to right) Steve Lee (brother of Bobby Lee, formerly of MAD TV), Critter Fleming (stated as occasionally functioning as David Choe’s body guard/manager), and Choe, himself. “saadbabu” went on to state that the DVDASA (allegedly standing for either/both “Double Vagina, Double Anal, Sensitive Artist” and/or “DaViD choe ASA akira”) has “mysteriously been on hiatus for quite a while now and this is the first new material to come from it since.”
