emmymadeinjapan

Emmy is a Chinese American YouTube celeb born in California and living in Rhode Island.

Emmy Cho’s ”emmymadeinjapan” persona came about when she and her husband moved to Japan. Not knowing much Japanese and feeling a bit lonely, she picked up a candy making kit at a local grocery as something to take up her time, and videoed herself making and tasting the product. She put it up on YouTube, and by 2013—when YouTube had their second YouTube NextUp competition—she was among 30 winners out of thousands entered, and has over 1.2 million followers watching her do foodie stuff. I personally stumbled onto her while looking for reviews for a candy making toy I was looking at purchasing as a Christmas gift. I didn’t buy the gift, but I did get Emmy. I think she’s a a bit nerdie and a cutie.

She’s not really a “siren,” but I do hope you feature more YouTube personalities on this site because they are definitely more interesting and unique than the they-all-look-the-same, photoshopped instagram models.

While agreeing with Skooler, I believe there is a fair range of possibilities between youtubers like Emmy here and these “all-look-the-same” models we sometimes see in AS.
Emmy looks like some of my colleagues or friend’s significant others: cute and funny. Not bad, nothing wrong, but that’s all …

Both you chaps are right…and wrong. A siren need not be stunning to you but she may be to someone else. There are sirens who may be more beautiful but do absolutely nothing, speaking personally, for me. I see, and post them all the time. I am oft times attracted to nerdy girls with librarian glasses such as Emmy. She’s every bit a siren imo.

You are absolutely right and that’s the beauty of “our sirens”: there’s something for everyone :)

Great Siren! Which side of her nose is that mole on?? :D

She is very pretty and happy-looking, that’s a plus in my book!
However I never quite understood the huge popularity of this kind of content and food bloggers.

Looks Blasian and a bit heavy on the Bla. Not my cup od tea…at all. :?

I’ve been a fan of her videos for a while. Very much a siren in my eyes, an understated one since she doesn’t really do modeling type things.

I myself have posted several YouTube personalities in the Request Feature section. These women include competitive eaters as well as language teachers. Just because these women aren’t the typical sirens featured on here, doesn’t mean they aren’t worthy of consideration.
