Say hello to the new guitar player for the Smashing Pumpkins.
Picked over thousands of applicants for the job, Kiki (born 1989/4/15) says she never thought her 15-year-old self diddling around on the guitar in her bedroom would lead her to this, but it has and here she is. Her Chinese dad played traditional instruments in a band with his siblings, so it looks like the pear doesn’t fall far from the tree. Kiki is also known for her work with the groups Vigil of War and Nylon Pink.
A couple of other nuggets: she’s got a degree in biological science/pre-medicine and had a child in 2023. Here’s hoping everything goes to 11 for her.
