10 questions for photographer Andrew Semansco

Not long ago I posted about photographer Andrew 'Sonny' Semansco. Now I interviewed him about his work.

Asian-Sirens: What kind of photography do you like?
Andrew: I love photographs. If I am not taking them I am looking at them or imagining them. My wife is already used to me stopping Netflix DVD movies every few minutes to examine a scene. I like all kinds of photography. I am sick about it.

Asian-Sirens: When did you decide to become a photographer?
Andrew: I can’t remember. I am not sure I ever made the decision. It was made for me through my desire to hold, capture images, moments in time and share them with others. I have been taking photographs with that in mind for 20 years.

Andrew Semansco (AKA Sonny) @ Flickr.com

Iris @ Flickr.com (Photography: Andrew Semansco)

"Struggling to make a living as a photographer and willing to travel ANYWHERE to shoot." That's what Hawaii based Andrew Semansco (Sonny) tells the world in his Flickr profile.

I found him while looking for photo's of Iris Estrada. Well, I found them and took a quick peek at some of his other photo's and they all looked very good. Natural and glamourous at the same time. Check out his sets of Iris, Alyssa and Sai for example. A Google search led me to his .com site and his profile at OneModelPlace. More work there.

Photographer: Greg Hadel

Photographer: Greg Hadel

Now that I've just posted about Alex Lynn, I might as well say something about the photographer!

Greg Hadel, the man behind 24MainStreet.com, opened his first studio in '93, and worked for some huge clients such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, IBM and American Airlines. Having started with his original Asian Beauty Calendar, Greg has expanded his arsenal to include an incredible collection of fantastic photo's of beautiful models.

Check out a gallery of his work at ign.com or at the one and only 24MainStreet.com

Chris Thompson starts hotthais.com

Jewel (Photography: Chris Thomson)

I talked the other day with photographer Chris Thomson from Brighton, United Kingdom. Chris told me he is working on a new site called hotthais.com (not available yet) and shot a lot of great Asian models such as Thitima (aka Katie Aston), Tia Maria Cordero and Jewel. He send me a few sample shots from which I selected a few from Jewel (to start with). While Chris is working on the new site you can find most of his excellent work (also some Asian models) at Sexy Xposures Magazine. More...

10 Questions for photographer Adam Yurman

Tiara @ PacificBeauty.com

I am very proud to present to you a new series on Asian-Sirens called: "10 Questions for...". We'll be starting with photographers. Our first guest is the famous Adam Yurman from Pacific Beauty and Pacific USA. He discovered Indonesian 'supermodel' Tiara Lestar not very long ago.

Take your time to read about Adam's vision on glamour photography, his successes, his failures, and his 'way with the models'. And to top it off, Adam is offering two free wallpapers! Yes, one with Tiara, and one with Issariya. (Available for members only, membership is free!)

Asian-Sirens: What kind of photography do you like?
Adam Yurman: For me, it's not the subject matter so much that draws my attention to a photo but rather the use of contrast, texture, color and lighting that pulls me in. If all the elements are combined artistically to create an interesting effect, then I want to take a second look. Of course a sexy or cute model's photo will get my attention like anyone else, but then it's not photography I'm thinking about there.

Asian-Sirens: When did you decide to become a photographer?
Adam Yurman: I was convinced I was going to be a musician for life and it was going along pretty well until I found out how much freedom one can have from being a successful photographer. Photography offers travel, open ended earning potential, new people to meet all the time, so many styles of work to explore from food to cars to women. More...

Photographer Deangelo

Kat Gutierrez by Deangelo

Southern California is the home of a very well liked photographer known simply as Deangelo. I've had numerous models tell me what a pleasure it was working with him and I'm not surprised. I've met Deangelo a number of times and not only is he a talented photographer, he's truly a nice guy who treats his models with respect.

This first image is from a shoot Deangelo did with busty Kat Gutierrez. You can find Deangelo's full body of work on his two websites ImportAngels and ImportEcstasy. For more samples of Deangelo's work, click on More...

Photography of Michael Anthony Hermogeno

Teanna Kai @ 8x10proofs.com (Photography: Michael Anthony Hermogeno

I found L.A. based photographer Michael Anthony Hermogeno when I was doing research on Joy Bisco. He shot -some of- the Blacklava clothing photo's with her. I checked out his (unfortunately very slow) website, and found out he shot more Asian models. There is a long list of people he worked with under 'Featured', but because of the long loading time I did not have enough patience to look at all models. There are some nice shots in there. If you have some spare time, browse through his galleries at his website www.8x10proofs.com.

The model above is Teanna Kai. She can be seen in various publications and in films of adult nature. I don't think we featured her on Asian-Sirens yet...

Photographer Bruno Talledo

Kay Sivilay (Photography: Bruno Talledo)

I am not sure how I found this guy, but I know I loved his photo's and bookmarked his site for a future posting. So today I present to you Bruno Talledo.

Bruno has been photographing for six years and his services are not limited to photography, but also include webdesign and music production. So why is this guy worth featuring on Asian-Sirens? Well, he seems to work with quite a few famous Asian models! Kay Sivilay, Natasha Yi, Shauna Ko, Cora Linn, Ginni Ramos, Kaila Yu, Michelle Lin, Gina Hiraizumi and Kimona. Some of them speak very highly of him on the testimonial pge. Personally I find his work artistic, but still very real.

Check it out for yourself: www.brunotalledo.com (click 'photography' ;-))

State of BlueNudes

Sung Hi Lee @ BlueNudes (Photography: Tom Ruddock)

In 1966 Tom Ruddock - a Dutch guy from Amsterdam - traded all his Kinks records for a camera. Went to the local swimming pool, put the camera in a plastic bag, and went into the water.

Later, he moved to San Francisco and became an Artist. In 1986 he moved back to Berlin, and was accepted into the Berufs Verband Bildender Kunstler Berlin (BBK). When he came back to America to settle down he put the camera away for almost a year. Eventually he was prompted to pick it up again. So that's what happened: down to Los Angeles to be a fashion photographer.

The rest is history, together with Misha he became at the late 90's the "in-house" photographer for Lisa Boyle and Sung Hi Lee for many years. His most beautiful work however, is BlueNudes. Together with design artist Sean, Tom runs BlueNudes, the most creative and artistic website I've seen in many years.

Tom, it's good to be back and I will call you soon!
