Flo Jalin: modFX cover model June 2006

Flo Jalin (Taiwanese, Indonesian, and Burmese) is modFX cover model June 2006. She used to be a popular import car model and gogo dancer. She was born in Taiwan, but when she was a young girl, her parents immigrated to Hawaii.

Flo began modeling in 1998 when she joined a friend at a calendar photo shoot as an observer. The photographer asked her if she wanted to take some test shots. Flo was pleasantly surprised when the photos came back, and before she knew it she was appearing in her first calendar.

Indonesian Playboy Editor and Centerfold Named As Suspects In Indecency Case

Here is some not-so-good news for today.

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Playboy magazine's editor-in-chief and first centerfold model in Indonesia were formally named by police Thursday as suspects in an indecency case against the publication. Authorities said they were investigating Kartika Gunawan, a woman who posed in lingerie in a premiere edition here in April, and Erwin Arnada, the editor. They could be prosecuted, and if convicted, imprisoned for two years and eight months.

Moon Bloodgood

Actress Moon Bloodgood just made it into the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2005 list: she was ranked #99. Moon is of Korean, Irish and Dutch descent.

She was a Laker girl at 17 and has since appeared in a bunch of music videos, including Marilyn Manson's "Dope Show", numerous TV-series such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and a couple of (not too well known) movies. She has a breakout role in the Disney sled-dog epic Eight below.

At Kineda.com I just read that Jarah Mariano is the first Asian American model to grace the pages of Victoria’s Secret. A mix of Hawaiian, Korean and Chinese descent, she also campaigns for MAC, Armani Exchange, and Sephora. Bruce Weber immortalized her in L’Uomo Vogue alongside her father; she was also the subject of Weber’s lens for Abercrombie & Fitch. Jarah is a Pace University graduate and currently resides in New York City.

A friend recently told me about a lovely actress named Anne Curtis. At age 21, this Filipina-Australian beauty has already been in quite a few (mostly filipino) films. She was 13 on her vacation in the Philippines when spotted by a talent scout from the fastfood chain Jolliebee.
