Sachiko's MySpace Page Launched!

Sachiko McLean

This is just a quick note to let everybody know that I've finally launched my own MySpace page. Although I really hate MySpace as a web site (for the reasons many people have outlined here already), it is clearly one of the best ways to reach people on the net today. So I guess a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! :-)

And you really believe that?

I have a myspace-account as well but hardly use it anymore.

Hmmm Marco, why do you say that? As Sachiko says, even Neil Young chose to release his latest album on MySpace. Doesn't that tell you something about how ubiquitous MySpace has become?

MySpace is a great place to hang out but if you don't hang out there (read: don't use it every day to contact new people), it's useless for self-promotion.

Yeah, MySpace is a lot of work (I have to log into my account at least once a day). I hope it's worth it! :-)

Good luck with your page Sachiko.

Yes, good luck with your MySpace page. I agree with your comments on your site about how it is one of the worst designed HTML sites in existence today -- and any site that tries to download a file to my machine whether I want it or not just by going to someone's page is not a friend of mine! -- but since you have to get your name out there....a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Sigh.

But the more people who are exposed to your beauty and your brains, the better I guess!

Thanks for the well wishes guys, and especially thanks for your comments TZM! I have to say I've been a little dismayed by the things I have to do to get myself well known on the internet, but we refuse assault visitors to our web site with pop-up ads etc. This is a big reason why I've decided to focus on creating physical products, as it seems to be a better way for me to get myself known. But whatever happens, we certainly won't be giving up on our site!
