Always wondered how a plasma TV works? Ziya Tong (of Chinese and Macedonian descent) explains its inner workings on the pilot episode of Wired Science on PBS. (Thanks to fromkhaos for the tip!)

It was good to see good ole Wired reaching out to other media.

Good choice with Ziya. She's good looking and smart, I like her style.

@Robin: so we get more educational videos here these days? ;-)

@thanirz: if hot asian women can educate us, I'm all for it! ;-)

I like asian eyes usually, but not hers. They have the sleepy/sad look.

For those interested she can currently (June 2009) be seen as the co-host of 'Daily Planet', a daily science news program on the Canadian Discovery Channel. The body isn't bad but I'm not too sure about the face. I do find her on air demeanor a bit annoying though.
