Jun dropped out of high school, but went on to have a very successful career. She was a pink movie favorite before moving on to mainstream work, winning the 1987 Japan Academy Award for best supporting actress for “Men’s Pulling Above Shibamata with Love”(Kinema Tenchi -キネマの天地)
