R’Bonney Nola (rbonneynola)

Miss USA, R’Bonney Nola, has been crowned Miss Universe 2022.

The first Filipina-American to have the honor, R’Bonney was born in San Antonio to a Filipino father and caucasian American mother. A college graduate, she’s currently living in Houston where she’s a sewing teacher at a fashion house when she isn’t fashion designing/modeling. We don’t think her photos do her justice. In fact, if we hadn’t seen her in the pageant and just looked at the photos we’d be… mehhh. Congratulations to her.

Stats
DOB: 1994/3/20
Height: 5’7″ (170cm)
Measurements: 32-24-35″ (81-61-89cm)

As an aside, once again Latin American women dominated the later rounds with three entrants in the final five. Laos, India, Canada (a Chinese Canadian) and Miss USA were the only Asians to advance from the initial cut. Oddly enough this year’s crop of contestants didn’t seem to be nearly as attractive as in previous years. This was the first pageant under the new owner who is a transgender woman, a point driven home when they spoke to the audience in a baritone voice. Next year’s pageant will allow married women and mothers to compete. We suspect transgender contestants will not be far off.

Zero comments about Miss Universe? Wow. 8O

She seems very worthy to me, and it’s great that a Eurasian won.
