Irene is a Chinese American actress with a long list of credits.
Born 1944/11/4, Irene’s family fled China in the ‘40s, landing in Taiwan and Hong Kong before heading for New York, where she attended school and studied ballet. The esteemed Hermes Pan brought her to Hollywood as a teenager to dance in the film Flower Drum Song, and she’s been acting ever since. I myself saw her recently in the celluloid classic How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, which prompted this post. A somewhat interesting note: Irene met Frank Sinatra while she was filming some Chevron commercials back in the 1960s and dated him for over 2 years. Today when not acting she’s a realtor in Beverly Hills, and is a teacher and practitioner of yoga.
