Dr. Lee is, to say the least, a fan of Trần Thị Ngọc Trinh.
So much so that he posted a feature on her himself when he launched the new AS site back in 2013, and had a hankering for another look. All the links in that old post are dead, save for one Facebook page that is no longer this Ngoc Trinh. I’ll supply some new Facebook links, but they’re still dated.
Vietnamese translations are pretty painful to suffer through, but what I got out of giving it the old college try was that in 2019 she became the CEO of some cosmetic company – I kept seeing her referred to as ‘Internal Medicine Queen’, whatever that means.
Back in 2013 she caused a scandal with some topless photos (seen in the old post). She caused another scandal recently by wearing an apparently unacceptable dress to the Cannes Film Festival, which got the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture in an uproar over a “costume that is too outrageous and disgusting, deliberately creating scandals to promote herself. Internal Medicine Queen will negatively affect the image of Vietnamese women to international friends”. Ngoc replied that it was normal to wear such clothes on the red carpet, and basically she was going to do what she wanted. She got away with the topless photos and I suspect she’ll get away with it again.

She’s a plain Jane who’s had the typical Seoul treatment work . Her claimed to fame as noted above is to stirred controversy for herself by exposing her body, the oldest trick in the book. The real mystery to me is how she’s a model in the first place.

The thing I like about her is that she combines classically Viet looks with a knockout bod and a naughtiness you almost never see in Viet celebrities. It may be an old trick in the west, but in Vietnam it’s actually very radical (hence the controversy).

I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since she was featured here. Worthy of the second posting for sure.
BTW, there’s also a sex tape out there of what is purported to be Ngoc.
