26-year-old H’Hen Nie finished in the top 5 at the most recent Miss Universe pageant.
Although Ms. Philippines won the title (and she’s all right), H’Hen is my winner (along with Miss South Africa).
H’Hen is the first from an ethnic minority group (the Ede are about 5% of Vietnam’s population) to win the title. Although at one time a prosperous people, today they are among the poorest. Her parents asked her, at age 14, to follow tradition and find a man and get married. For some reason that didn’t sound appealing, so she headed to Ho Chi Minh and worked her way through college as a food server, cleaning houses, doing a gig as a nanny etc. She snagged a place on Vietnam’s Next Top Model back in 2015, and finished in the top 9. That paved the way for her eventual win at Miss Universe Vietnam.
A beautiful woman with a lovely skin tone, delicious figure and an effervescent smile, she is made of the stuff for which The Hallowed Halls exist.

She reminds me of the girl on the Ford ads on tv (Australia). Pretty unique and pretty damn fine!

Absolutely agree she should have won the title! Unique and exotic. What more do you want??

I like her very much as well.
No offense, but at least Nie is a full blooded ethnic minority, unlike the Miss Universe winner who was half Caucasian.

ok now this one is hot! didn’t know there were austronesian tribes in vietnam.
she looks older than her age though, i would have guessed 30+…
