How about this one? Bubbalabobo found this Canadian web program, here’s what he said…

Web program, Ultra Rich Asian Girls chronicles the insipid lives of a bunch of Canadian Chinese girls. Good for some laughs, and a few of them are cute. This was in the news, and now it went forward and has 9 episodes.

Maybe not really selling it but in an age when the Kardashians is a popular show why not Asian ladies?

Coco Paris Wang, Florence Zhao, Chelsea Jiang, and Joy Li make up the cast of the show so check it out and have your say.

    omg, can’t watch this or i’d end up feeling an urge to slap/kill them… nouveau riche + asian (read: chinese) + living in the west = terrible personality and taste

    There was a program on the web I believed called “K-town” a couple of years ago that travelled a similar road. It was about the lives of a group of young, mainly Koreans. The girls were all pretty attractive physically but the way they presented themselves – all ghetto – would turn your stomach. I believe they all came from decent backgrounds so their adoption of “thug” persona’s made for some sad, sad viewing.

    Asian women who pursue the lifestyle of their choice shouldn’t be subjected to more criticism than others that strive for fame and power. Business leaders, politicians, super models acters and athletes all fall into this category.

    I don’t think the criticism is because they are Asian, it’s a sad reflection of modern society that this content is seen as broadcast material Asian or otherwise. I think starting from a laughing at them it becomes ‘admire and emulate’. Just my two cents.

    Let’s not forget a lot of it is done for the camera. Most of so called “reality tv” is nothing but a junk manufactured by skillful editing. Many participants are egged by producers to act in a way they would never act in real life (if only for fear of law).

    If nothing else, it tells a bit about the significant Chinese community in Vancouver. This isn’t representative, but is good for eye rolling and laughs

    The cast appears to have shifted a bit but in the first or second episode there was one girl with a giant rack but she got cut or left. Too bad. The production company name is an acronym, Hot Bitches In Charge….! They apparently will attempt another season.

    I would love to see a counterpart show featuring their partners- be they man/boyfriend/husband/girlfriend/whatever….

    THAT would be entertaining.

    What do those guys do? Do they drink beer? Wine? Do they watch sports? Do they talk about how much they want American blonde women? What?
