I first featured Sexy Mandarin shortly after they launched their web site one and a half years ago. Since then, they’ve been steadily churning out more videos, and have now built up quite a roster of models, who we’ll be posting in coming months. I’ve already featured their very sexy creator, but for this post, I’d like to introduce their most socially active teacher, “Wonderful” Wendy Zhao. And I do mean active—she has multiple modelling profiles, three Facebook profiles(!), and is one of the first models to upload an Asian Sirens profile (with photo album), as well as the first SM girl to do so. Note to any models reading this: I’ll be giving priority to models who upload AS profiles (I will post a feature article on the fabulous Josie Lee soon).

I’m glad you are doing a post for Josie Lee, the albums on the profiles page are a great idea. Hopefully it means the models can offer some feedback on the posts too.
Wendy is truly wonderful, I would be interested to know how well the Sexy Mandarin is going? do the students actually learn to speak or just dribble (tongue on the floor)?
I’m pretty bad at Asian languages, the tones get me, maybe some private tutorials are in order. -
She’s pretty and has a nice variety of shots. As is usual, some of the shots on the other sites have too much Photoshop work. In this case, we have the option to compare a non-Photoshop picture with the same picture after a lot of Photoshop smoothing:

In particular, by zooming in you can see that her face has lost much of its definition, her hand looks like a mannequin, and the crocheted part of her swimsuit has lost all of its detail.
I think Photoshop can be used to touch-up pictures, but many times it’s just globally applied to pictures with (IMHO) undesirable results.

Yeah, I deliberately chose Wendy’s Sexy Mandarin shots, as I thought her Facebook pics looked too heavily processed. Her SM pics are still definitely Photoshopped (like just about everything these days), but to a much more tasteful degree.

@ Luke, Thank youuuuuu ^_^ I get this question all the time, and yes the students really do learn Chinese in the class. And your right the tones are the hardest part but the good news is you don’t have to get the tone right to be understood
@ relayer, I do need a professional to edit my photos, these days I’m just using some apps on my iPad to add the Sexy Mandarin watermark and make the photo more smooth. Looks great on the iPad screen but then doesn’t look so great on the computer after uploading them to the internet lol ^_^
@ Dr. Lee, You’re right about that, these days most models wouldn’t be models without photoshop. But my photos aren’t edited with photoshop they are just “enhanced” (as the app puts it lol) with my iPad. I’m still looking for a professional who can use photoshop, after I find one I hope the quality of my photos will improve ^_^

In the pre-iPhone and pre-Photoshop days we called it “BEER GOGGLES”. Meaning, “How many drinks do I have to drink until I think she is beautiful?”
In Wendy’s case, I’d say one glass of ice-water. A very large glass of ice-water. She is HOT!

I think you look beautiful without the extra processing! But I tend to like seeing women more natural and less like a fantasy, although I understand that a lot of modeling is about creating that fantasy. One thing I really like about your photos is that I can see both types of photos mixed in.

Oh wow! And you know what that means when I go wow!
And double wow! I just happen to be on summer holidays here and guess who will be at this summer’s Qingdao Beer Festival? I was last at that festival in 2008; it’s a lot of fun. Overpriced beer but at least it’s cold on a hot humid night.
I think I can even endure a crowded Chinese train to travel north to Shandong to try and catch Wendy there.
I need to check the dates though. Also the car shows she will be in around the same time. Wendy?? Now that you are our special friend here at AS, care to share some details.
