Jayesslee
I know a few of our readers have a fetish for Asian girls with Aussie accents, so how about two cute Korean Australian girls singing with Aussie accents? Introducing twin sisters Jayesslee (Facebook) - here they are singing a surprisingly fresh sounding cover of the most over-played and over-covered song of last year, PSY's Gangnam Style (or as they refer to it in Aussie lingo, "Gumnut Style"). Personally, I find their version infinitely more listenable than the original - indeed, I think their singing (especially their harmonies) is actually quite excellent (and I'm a real music snob). Their YouTube channel was only the second in Australia to hit one million subscribers - after another Asian Australian girl, Natalie Tran. Yes, we love our Asian girls down here - and if you lived here, you'd know why. :-)

Tsukiko Amano
I can't tell you anything about Japanese siren Tsukiko Amano that you can't get from her official website or Wikipedia listing, but for those who haven't heard of her before, now you have. Above is the music video for "Chô" ("Butterfly"), which she also wrote and is the theme song from the PlayStation 2 survival horror game Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. It's the song Tsukiko (who just goes by "Tsuki Amano" these days) is best-known for ....among gamers, anyway.

Teresa Hui - Jingle Bell Rock
To get you into the Christmas spirit, here's comedienne/singer Teresa Hui performing the Yuletide classic "Jingle Bell Rock," accompaning herself on the ukulele. I could do without her vocal embellishments at about 3/4 of the way through the song, but aside from that, she's not bad at all. Check out her Youtube channel and official website to see more of her. Oh, and Happy Holidays!

The Girls of Nylon Pink

Not long ago I featured the girls from Baby VOX all in one post. I'm creating this post before that one is posted, so there's a chance it wasn't well received, but I'm going to pretend it is for the purposes of this post.
Hey! Since you guys liked my last post so much, here's another! You might remember Kaila Yu. She was one of the most popular new models after Sung Hi Lee. Well, after she quit modeling, she decided to create a techno-punk-pop girl group known as Nylon Pink where she acts as the lead singer. Since you're all probably (hopefully) familiar with Kaila Yu, here are some of the other members of the girl group.
Note: Whenever we feature non-models on Asian Sirens, especially women from the US that might read this blog, keep any negative comments to a minimum. Models open themselves up for criticism, but non-models do not. It would be like posting a photo of your girlfriend from Facebook and letting all of us explain what's wrong with her.

Samantha Rex

One of our readers suggested Samantha Rex to us as someone to feature. Samantha is a singer, songwriter, model, and actress of Thai descent. Samantha maybe most known for her appearance in a commercial for Heineken last year called “The Date”. The commercial is the most popular video on Heineken’s YouTube channel by several million views.
In addition to the Heineken commercial, Samantha is also the vocalist/front woman for the band The Attic Ends. She also has appeared in a very hot photo shoot for Maxim Magazine, which you can watch the behind the scenes video of after the break.

Sexy Photos of Baby VOX Members

CEC reminded me a while back about Baby VOX, a Korean girl group that was scary famous with Chinese Americans (and presumably Koreans) across world. They retired in 2005 and they've been around so long that you can find a million things about them as a group if you are interested. Me, I like photos. So I've picked the sexier photos of the individual members of Baby Vox and placed them below.

Korean Girl Group, Morning
"Morning" was a unique foursome of very beautiful ladies who, in 2003, scored a hit single with a dynamic ballad entitled "I'll Make You Happy," off of their one and only album; Return to the Innocence. Above is the official music video for the song. Exemplifying the group's uniqueness here is violinist Jang Min-kyung, whose solo adds an excellent embellishment to a part that would ordinarily feature a guitar or keyboard.
The other members of the group were Shim Seong-hee (Lead vocal), Kim Bu-yeon (Second vocal), and Baek Bo-ram (Rap, narration, and vocals). They couldn't be considered a band since only Min-kyung played an instrument besides sang, but they definitely weren't the typical K-pop female vocal group, either. Perhaps that's why they didn't seem to find their niche and disbanded after just the one album. Full article here.

Korean Sirens Covering English Songs
American and British pop songs have been immensely popular in Korea for years, often being included in Korean movie soundtracks, with top Korean sirens covering them ....some with better results than others. Above is the late Lee Eun-joo's sultry performance of the Corrs "Only When I Sleep," at the Blue Dragon Film Awards in November, 2004. This song was on the soundtrack to her last film The Scarlet Letter. She also performed this song in the movie but as far as I know, this is the only live recording of her singing it. More...

Khổng Tú Quỳnh

Khong Tu Quynh is a Vietnamese singer, and like a lot of singers, she dabbled in modeling. She's also very young, and by all accounts (read: poorly translated Vietnamese), she's aging in a way that should only improve her appearance in the future.

Khai Lim

One more of the FHM girls. This is Khai Lim. She's a model that recently joined a singing group called the "Kitty Girls." I think I speak for everyone when I say they named that group for arf.
