Jane Zhang is a Chinese pop singer with a great voice.
Jane (born Zhang Liangying on October 11, 1984 Chengdu, Sichuan, China) began singing as a teenager and was exposed to a wide variety of music genres, developing a taste for American country singers as well as Western pop singers. Jane rose to prominence after her third-place performance in the 2005 season of the Super Girl contest—a national all-female singing competition in the Peoples Republic of China,—singing in English, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is particularly known for her signature whistle register (think Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera high notes that only a dog can hear), which earned her the nickname “The Dolphin Princess”.
In 2015 Jane Zhang contributed a song for the soundtrack of American sci-fi action film Terminator Genisys titled Fighting Shadows, and won the MTV Europe Music Award for a Worldwide Act.
