With all the millions of MySpace.com users, it's no surprise there are quite a few Asian babes scattered among them. Some are true amateurs and others are promoting their own web sites. Yeah, you really can get lost in all the Asian beauty on MySpace.

This pretty much sums up my opinion of MySpace - I think it is one of the crappiest, most poorly designed web sites ever.

A couple months ago I read an interview of the MySpace founders. The interview was by one of the webmaster forums. They basically said the bad design is on purpose. Because of it people have to click around more to get where they want to go. So the page impressions are two or three times higher as a result, and their advertising income is higher.

Bad site design=more money. That's the formula now.

All want to be the next Tila Nguyen.

Here's how I block all the tasteless music on MySpace.

Yeah, the auto playing media is really annoying. You scramble around to find it, switch it off, then when you go to another page and go back, it's back on again! Arghhhhhhh.......

As for bad design equalling more advertising dollars, according to what I've read MySpace doesn't make anywhere near as much money as it should. Yes, it has a lot of traffic, but apparently nowhere near as much income as other sites with comparable hits.

What's a 'page impression'?

Robin, I think a "page impression" is just another expression for a "clicked page".

Bad design, good design...I really don't care.....if that's where the hot Asian babes are posting their pics....I'm gonna go look at them! :-)

I was an active member of MySpace for a few weeks and within no time I had 144 friends there. Just check them out and you will be surprised ;-)

I just noticed something else very nasty about MySpace. They carry ads for Starware. Starware distributes a browser hijack inside a "joke toolbar" (Google to see all the removal instructions). And the reason I noticed is that the banner advertising this spyware is using a picture of the body of Thai model Methinee Kingpayome with Osama bin Laden's head on it. I know that picture well, it is unmistakable. That is very sleazy. I am trying to locate Methinee's modeling agency to see if they can inform her. She is quite rich and could afford to sue.

Go for it! I'd love to see somebody stick it to this sorry excuse for a web site.

So many good comments! I also find myspace slow and hard to navigate, but I keep coming back.
