I can't make up my mind about Jin Mei Xin; in some phots -- WOW!. In others, wow; and in some others, meh.

Apart from the tats (especially that Chris Cheung one!), she looks mighty hot to me - assuming I'm decoding all the Photoshopping correctly. :-)

Hmm... Not really a fan. Her face doesn't look very pretty in many of the pictures (although very pretty in some) and her eyes don't really wow me. Plus that light skinned photoshopping on these bodies isn't really something that's ever attracted me. Although I do have a feeling that her body would be much more attractive in real life, especially at 5'9. Her height is lost on the barbie style of photo editing.

Maybe it's the neckline to the chin. The way her face sits on her neck gives the appearance of wearing a mask, in some ways...

I don't really know, I'm trying to come up with something =/. Never really got why these girls weren't as appealing to me as they are to others, and Jin isn't even the same ethnicity.

Not to spam this post either, but seriously - what aspiring model tattoos a boys name on their leg?

Posted by: TravisStroup on Dec 09, 11 | 2:51 pm

I like well done tattoo work on a beautiful woman and not what I consider stupid work. Unfortunately she isn't working for me, maybe its the photoshopping?

Posted by: pseacraft on Dec 09, 11 | 6:05 pm

I thought the 'tattoo' on her leg was the photographer's clever, albeit unaesthetically pleasing, way of watermarking his work. But you are right - it IS a tat, and yes, she better make sure she is enamoured with the guy and that it lasts.
I'm in agreement with Wingsfan on her looks - meh, wow and WOW!
The pics of her on the bed, the sofa and in the khaki shorts made me go WOW!

The only picture I found remotely appealing is the one where she's sitting at a desk. All of the airbrushing and/or copious amounts of makeup found in the other photos are off-putting.

I think she's pretty hot. only complaint is that the tattoo should have my name on it :p

reallyl not feeling this one, you all can fight over her:)

Another one that I don't find at all attractive. Awkward and toneless.

Posted by: wylde8 on Dec 10, 11 | 5:28 am

Hmmmm!...me seems to like the toneless type. I'm feelin a bit Awkward now. ;)

I'm surprised by the negative response, I am an unabashed fan. The leg tat is unfortunate but I'm sure she will realise eventually and I predict the tattoo removal industry will be booming in a couple of years.

Wow, I'm surprised that many don't like her. I'm with Luke on this one. In my humble opinion she's a strong candidate for the most exciting model in China today.

Posted by: Shuai Ge on Dec 10, 11 | 2:18 pm

Yep, I'm with Shuai and Luke72 all the way with this one - apart from the tats (especially that one!), what's not to like?

Posted by: Dr. Lee on Dec 10, 11 | 2:58 pm

I don't want to speak for everyone, but I'll explain my thoughts:

- Her face is not particularly pretty. She looks mean, she has an odd jaw, her eyes are unattractive, and her lips are questionable - not bad, but not great. She looks nice in the photo where she's smiling close up on her face, but that's about it. Her body is nice, yes, but for me it's always Face-First by a HUGE margin. It's why I don't find Yawen very attractive despite a spectacular body. I can't overlook a face that I am not attracted to.

I can't speak for Shuai Ge, because he does seem to enjoy faces, but in your case, Doc, I think that if the body is smokin' (especially the breasts) you are either willing to ignore the face or find the face more attractive (I don't want to assume with you, it's just a trend I've noticed), which is something I can't do. If I don't find the face stunning, the body can't follow.

- The style of these photographs makes her look like a pale barbie doll. I mentioned above I think her body isn't done justice in these photos and I'll stick with that, because at 5'9 she's probably got an amazing body in real life, but in the photos she is way too pale, too plastic looking, and just not that appealing. The last photo and the third to last photo are good examples.

I'm just speaking for myself though. I was actually surprised that a few of the other people here disliked her. I assumed I'd be the only one.

I'll give her credit though for being much prettier when she smiles, but much less so when she does not. Then every once in a while she's somewhere in between

Travis: you are right that I am willing to see past the face to some degree when the body's great (see the next mainland siren), but in this girl's case, I honestly don't see much wrong with her face anyway - indeed, I actually like it myself. I can see what you mean about the photography though.

Buses here often carry pictures of beautiful women modelling for some product. I'd noticed this one particular image; it always catches my eye. Today the bus went past - and click! Jin Mei Xin - in a variation of the pic of her above in the black shorts and open black jacket - well she was a bit more demure looking than in the pose above. But to my delight it was her alright- an AS on a bus. And it was one of her (IMO) nicer poses.
Beats having to go back to the laptop for a look at her... hehe. I get to see her in the street so to speak, and on a regular basis.
So, yes I can understand now her rising popularity as a Chinese mainland model.

Posted by: longtack on Dec 11, 11 | 5:12 pm

I don't think she'll go unnoticed at 5'9"; shes got the basic ingredients and that tat on her back gives her that whacked, black look {forget that on her leg - just take of one letter at a time and confound everybody} but I agree: tone, tone, tone! If you look like your main job is accepting money, food and lodging from people on account of your good looks, you won't appeal so much to most of the world who are folks that must provide for themselves. Maybe China is ona campaign to advertise money without work idontknow.

One thing is for sure, she actually has superb quadriceps. Check out the video, which has photos of her hamming it up with a snowboard, and at, e.g., 3:15 and 3:16 (left) the tone is fantastic. The legs are very nice.
