The girl on the right is her best friend, fellow model, and fellow winner of the Taiwan Elite Model competition Julie Lin You Li. She has fewer photos than Wang Li Ya, but I have read that she is still considered very popular these days.

After many recent critical comments about smiles and unpleasant serious looks, I totally agree with Travis's comments about perfection. Absolutely love Li Ya's smile and healthy/happy look! And if Li Ya is a perfect 10, then Julie is not far behind, or in an an absolute tie! Zowie!

Both of them have strong Taiwanese/Minnan/Fukienese features.
BTW, Travis, those girls look exactly the same as their cousins across the Taiwan Strait. If the Minnan look different from many other Han Chinese, it's because China is big and as ethnically diverse as Europe (the only reason "Han Chinese" is an ethnicity is because China as been ruled by a centralized government for most of its history; if the Roman Empire still existed, you'd have a "Roman" ethnicity rather than Spanish/French/Italian/North African/Syrian, etc.)
