Actually, the difficulty with Vietnamese is getting the pronunciation right. For example, Ngoc with a (kind of) downward inflection is a girl's name, but ngoc with an upward inflection means stupid! So if you want to impress Vietnamese girls by speaking their langauge, you have to make sure you get the right pronunciation and inflection. Better leave it to the pros. ;-)
